Well, I have been wanting to do an Instagram contest for a long time, and since January is my “business planning” month…I decided to go for it.  I learned a few things along the way and it was an big success! It was a 2 round process. You could enter the contest by posting a photo of you and your bff and the top 3 “liked” photos would move on to round 2, where they would then vote over on my Instagram page. I loved seeing the girls (oh and some guys, which was HILARIOUS  LOL!) entries, and loved seeing what they would write about their friends.  Life is so much sweeter with friends!

The race to the end of voting was sooooo exciting, two of the 3 posts were tied all day long.  Tied…like literally the SAME number of likes, all. day. long! And it came down to the wire, with some last minute pleas on Twitter and from sisters, and aunts, lol, to please go vote. Our winner was Claire! And we were able to shoot our 30 minute mini session last week. We were lucky and got one of those Texas February days where it was sunny and 74! Oh gosh…I had fun with these girls!! And it started on a fantastic note, with Claire’s mom bringing me cupcakes from Sweets by Diedra….oh, she must know me so well.  What a sweet (pun intended) gesture! I had worked with Claire over the week talking about ideas and clothing….and let me tell ya, they showed up totally rocking the look!
