So, Grace and her mom are the lucky devils who got to experience my camera strap malfunctioning and falling. to the ground. 3 feet down. landing straight on the lens.
Fortunately we had all but finished her shoot, just a few more to go and luckily I had a back up camera of course. But wow, what a feared nightmare coming into reality. I’ll never forget her mom said “wow, I can’t believe you didn’t just curse out loud” I might have in my head, not sure, but if you know me well, you know I’m crazy careful with my cameras, so this was a nightmare realized. Sadly it got worse the next day when I realized that the back up camera now had a focus motor that was failing as well. So, a new purchase was made within 24 hours to keep shooting on schedule.
Grace’s key thoughts about her shoot was that she really wanted to look natural and not posed. I told her…”girl, I got you!” and began showing her back of camera right away and she was shocked at herself and how she DID look natural. Always some of my favorite moments for sure!
