Vacation Home Rental on 30A, Florida

Fashion + Lifestyle

October 4, 2025

Do you love the Emerald Coast like I do? That scenic, quaint area called 30A! Then I hope you’ll be excited that we have a wonderful rental home to share with you on 30A!

Before I tell you more about what makes 30A so special, here is a link to our 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath rental property (more details about the property and amenities below)

30A refers to a scenic stretch of highway along Florida’s Emerald Coast, between Destin and Panama City Beach. This area is famous for its white sand beaches, crystal clear water, upscale beach towns and relaxed family friendly atmosphere.

It’s a collection of quaint little beach towns along county road 30A. It’s so special because of its unique combination of white sand beaches, emerald hued water, coastal forests, state parks, and unique little beach towns along this strip of highway – each with their own distinctive architecture. This is a great resource to see the towns and upcoming events along 30a

We have vacationed there many times, and even rented in this exact neighborhood, so we were excited to get the opportunity to invest in a townhome in Prominence…and excited to share it with you all!

HOW TO GET TO THE AREA

You can always drive of course, but if flying, you can fly into Panama City Beach Airport (ECP) and it’s about a 20 minute drive to the home. Or fly into Destin Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) – about a 45 min drive.

Our 30A Vacation Rental – Salty Sandbar

Our 30A rental is a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom townhome, and comes equipped with a 6-seater golf cart, 6 bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, wagon to cart your beach gear, included in your stay! And, games and a ping pong table!

Bedroom 1 has a king sized bed, bedroom 2 has (2) queen sized bunks and bedroom 3 has a king sized bed! So it comfortably sleeps 8 people.

There are 2 large community pools that are heated October/November and March/April.Our unit is centrally located along 30A so you can easily access all the fun little beach towns and beaches during your stay. I love that we are right between the town of Seaside and the town of Rosemary. That makes a short golf cart ride to each.

And, we are JUST accross the street from The Big Chill! Which is a family friendly, community’s town center which includes restaurants, shops, and an amphitheater. The amphitheater includes a covered event pavilion and is a great place to catch a concert, sporting event, or a movie on the lawn. This location is perfect for family outings! Be sure to catch the farmer’s market here on Thursdays!

If you come and stay at the Salty Sandbar…we’ve included a beach cocktails recipe book where you can try some different cocktails! And also, would love for you to sign our beach guest book! We’d love to know where you’re from, what was the best memory from your stay on 30A etc.

Beach Access

You can take our golf cart, or bikes (and our cart/wagon) to the beach! For the easiest access….turn west (or right) out of Prominence on 30A and .5 miles down you’ll take a left into the entrance of Deer Lake State Park, where you’ll find plenty of parking, restroom facilities and an outdoor shower to rinse sand off after a beach day. There’s a brand new bridge/boardwalk over coastal dunes to get you to the beautiful beach!

Best time to visit?

Anytime is beautiful there! But shoulder seasons (October/November, April/May) are the best if wanting to avoid the busy season crowds, plus the weather is just fantastic. The fall is probably a favorite more so, because the water is still warm, yet the air is less humidity and crowds have died down.

Where/how to book

While it is available on Airbnb and VRBO, how can save a little by booking direct with Stay on 30A, here.

Where to go on 30A – Restaurants, Coffee Shops, Shopping.

A favorite thing about this stretch of highway is the variety you’ll find from the local beach towns. They each have their own special vibe, which makes them all lovable in different ways.

Be sure to explore each town and check out all the restaurants, shops, beaches, bikes trails, coffee shops and more! Honestly, it’s fun because each time I go I find yet another new great wonderful place to add to my list. But to help you out, I’m breaking it down town by town and including some of my current favorite spots! There’s sooo many more I could list here.

Seagrove Beach – turn right out of the property and about a mile down 30A you will be in Seagrove Beach.

  • Beachy Bean – My fave coffee shop! It’s cute, the coffee is great, the vibe is great. And it also doubles as a great afternoon wine spot. Indoor and outdoor seating. The have pastries, avocado toast etc. they even have gluten free options!
  • Old Florida Fish House – Our favorite restaurant! Also one of the few that accepts reservations. Usually about three months prior to your vacation. The food is delicious and the outdoor seating is such a vibe. There is a great area for the kids to run around and play. It is situated on a lake inlet right near the ocean
  • Linen and Sand – just fabulous upscale pillows, linen items, housewares
  • Free People
  • The Salty Butcher – wines, steaks to go
  • Buddy’s Seafood Market – pick up fresh seafood to take to house and cook, they can steam the seafood for you
  • YOLO – rent standup paddle boards

Seaside – Continuing west on 30A, you’ll come to Seaside. Seaside, Florida is one of those rare places that feels like it was plucked right out of a storybook. With its pastel-colored cottages, charming town square, it’s picture-perfect at every turn. Stroll through the open-air market, grab a bite at one of the famous Airstream food trucks, or simply relax on the sugar-white sand beaches with turquoise waters. Seaside has a laid-back yet elevated vibe… the kind of place where you can bike everywhere, discover unique shops, and feel instantly at ease. It’s no wonder it’s become an iconic 30A destination.

  • Food Trucks – great options, easy to grab food, crepes, smoothies, ice cream
  • Black Bear Bread Co. – iconic favorite to many! Coffee, pastries and full breakfast items. Cute outdoor seating.
  • Modica Market – Seaside’s quaint gourmet market! Sample their selections of fresh, homemade Southern specialties and gourmet-to-go meals (hint take to the beach!) for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. Be sure to shop our extensive collection of wines, craft beers, local and imported condiments, and unique foodie finds … from cheeses to ice creams to coffees. They have famous to-go mimosas also.
  • Great Southern – located in the heart of Seaside. It’s new fashioned, southern cuisine and a huge favorite to all.
  • Amavida Coffee – great coffee and tea. Seaside & Rosemary locations
  • Bud & Alleys – rooftop sunset views for dinner. They also have a great pizza place next door.

Alys Beach – turn east out of Prominence and you’ll come to Alys, which looks like you are in Greece! The architecture is just astounding! All white, shutters, very high end. Just beautiful to stroll or bike through. A site to see! Some of my fave shops & eateries are here too.

  • George’s – George’s at Alys Beach is an upscale, yet casual restaurant bringing regional coastal flair infused with global flavors to the quaint town of Alys Beach, Florida. There will be a line to get in, but worth it. The charming beach cottage provides the perfect backdrop for dinner with friends and family. Dine indoors in our airy and cozy dining room, or enjoy the beautiful Florida sunshine on the screened porches, or the covered or uncovered patio areas. For days when the waitlist is lengthy, a rooftop viewing deck is open for you to have a drink and look out over beautiful Alys Beach.
  • Citizen – very popular, beautiful restaurant & oyster bar.
  • Fonville Press – Just a STUNNING spot. Breakfast, lunch & dinner and a small market. In great weather the bar is open air.
  • Raw & Juicy- cold-pressed organic plant forward juice bar and cafe offers healthy and delicious options. A fave among locals.
  • Summer Stories Alys – stunning home goods!

Rosemary – definitely has its own architecture. Lots of shopping. They do not allow golf carts here, fyi.

  • La Crema – great tapas, wine and dessert. Get the chocolate fondue!
  • Pescado – go early to try and get to the rooftop for drinks, stunning view!
  • Gallions – beautiful restaurant, great food, fresh coastal faire
  • Shopping – lots, all around

If you get the chance to stay in our 30A vacation rental, I hope you’ll enjoy that little slice of paradise that is life along the 30A stretch of Florida! And I hope you’ll let me know allll about it!
